About Me

I usually think of myself as your average 30-something female with a desk job and not much of anything interesting to say- but give me a glass of wine and a few open ears, and that all goes out the window.

Every time I find myself touting that I lead an average life, I'm met with puzzled faces staring back at me. "Most people don't hike mountains every weekend then swing by the local state park for a quick post-hike trail run to cool down." It's a fair point. I do love to be outside. Moreover, I love the physical and mental challenges that I'm faced with while climbing up a mountain by myself with not a soul in sight. There is something about being alone in the wilderness that feels almost transcendental at times. It's so much more than a mere connection to the earth. It's the fervent cognizance of giving yourself to nature and flowing with her in whatever direction she may choose to take you in. In a word - it's living.

This blog will serve as a personal collection of all the lessons learned and memories made from my travels in nature from coast to coast, continent to continent. If nothing else- the pages of this site (each containing tiny pieces of my heart) will be a warm space for me to visit to reflect on the woman I was, the woman I am, and the woman I someday hope to be.

With Love, Peace, and Wine,
Molly
